Overview

Agorapulse is a social media management SaaS platform used by marketing agencies, brand social media teams, and individual community managers to schedule posts, monitor brand mentions, manage inboxes across multiple social networks, and generate performance reports. The platform supports Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Google Business Profile from a single dashboard.

Unlike social sharing widgets (AddThis, ShareThis) or social login SDKs, Agorapulse does not embed tracking scripts or interactive widgets on third-party publisher websites. Its entire operational footprint is contained within the Agorapulse web application at app.agorapulse.com and its native mobile applications.

What This Script Does

Agorapulse does not deploy JavaScript on third-party websites. There is no Agorapulse pixel, embed code, social widget, or tracking snippet that a website operator would install on their own site.

Why it may appear in vendor audits:

• A team member with the Agorapulse browser extension installed may have their browser extension active while visiting the site, causing Agorapulse-related requests to appear in network logs
• An agency or social media manager accessing the site while logged into app.agorapulse.com in another tab may trigger cross-origin requests in some monitoring tools
• Historical or erroneous vendor list entries that attributed social scheduling activity to the website itself rather than to the SaaS dashboard

Within the Agorapulse application (relevant for users, not site visitors):

• Session cookies on agorapulse.com domain authenticate logged-in users and maintain application state
• OAuth tokens for connected social network accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) are stored server-side within Agorapulse's secure infrastructure
• The platform uses analytics tools within its own application to track product usage for its own product development — this is irrelevant to visitor consent on third-party websites

Agorapulse browser extension: A Chrome/Firefox extension is available that surfaces social engagement metrics while browsing. This extension operates in the user's browser context and is installed voluntarily by the social media manager, not by website operators. Website owners have no control over whether their visitors have this extension installed.

Consent & Compliance

Agorapulse is categorized as functional by default, though this classification reflects its SaaS nature rather than any active data collection from website visitors.

• GDPR/ePrivacy (website visitors): No consent obligations arise from Agorapulse for website visitors, because Agorapulse does not set cookies, access device storage, or collect data from visitors on third-party websites. Article 5(3) ePrivacy consent requirements are not triggered.
• GDPR (platform users): Agorapulse processes personal data about its own registered users (social media managers) under its own privacy policy. This is a separate data controller relationship.
• CCPA/CPRA: Agorapulse does not collect personal information from site visitors through any embedded mechanism.

Should You Block This Without Consent?

No. Agorapulse does not load scripts, set cookies, or collect data from website visitors. There is no browser-side resource to block through a consent management platform. If Agorapulse appears in your vendor list, confirm whether it belongs there — most website operators will not have Agorapulse as a genuine vendor requiring consent management. It is safe to mark as functional with no consent gate required.
