Mighty Networks operates primarily as a first-party SaaS environment (communities hosted on mightynetworks.com subdomains or custom domains), with limited client-side presence on external third-party websites.

What This Script Does

Mighty Networks embeds appear on partner or creator websites as access-control components linking the host site to the community platform.

Scripts loaded: Community widgets load from Mighty Networks' CDN (cdn.mightybell.com or mightynetworks.com subdomains), rendering access portals or course registration components.

Cookies set:

• mn_session — First-party or third-party persistent cookie (depending on embed context) for maintaining member authentication state across the session and across returns to the community. Expiry: 30 days for remembered logins; session for non-persistent logins.
• mn_community_id — Short-lived functional cookie identifying the specific community context for multi-community accounts. Expiry: session.
• Session storage tokens (non-cookie): Some Mighty Networks embeds use sessionStorage rather than cookies for widget state, avoiding persistent cookie writes on the host domain.

Authentication state management: Scripts check whether the visitor is an authenticated Mighty Networks member by querying Mighty Networks' authentication API. The displayed content adapts accordingly — members see gated content, non-members see the registration prompt.

Data collected: Member authentication status, content interactions (views, clicks on community items), and referral source for attribution. The embed does not collect browsing behaviour on non-community pages of the host website.

No advertising tracking: Mighty Networks does not deploy advertising pixels or analytics trackers on the host website through its embed components. Data collection is limited to what is necessary for authentication and community content delivery.

Community access widgets serve a direct functional purpose — enabling members to access community content they have joined and paid for. Authentication cookies are required for the login state management that makes gated content accessible.
