Overview

Interact (TryInteract) is a quiz-building platform used primarily for lead generation and audience segmentation in marketing campaigns. Its scripts embed interactive quizzes — personality quizzes, product recommendation quizzes, knowledge assessments — on web pages, collecting visitor responses and email addresses that feed into marketing automation workflows.

What This Script Does

Interact's embed scripts load from quiz.tryinteract.com and render interactive quiz experiences on the host page:

• Quiz rendering: Loads the quiz interface (questions, answer options, progress indicators, result pages) within an iframe or embedded container on the host page.
• Data collection: Captures all visitor responses to quiz questions, plus personally identifiable information submitted on the lead capture form (typically name and email address). This data is sent to Interact's servers.
• Cookies: Sets cookies to track quiz completion status (preventing repeat display to the same visitor), attribute quiz leads to traffic sources, and measure conversion rates.
• Marketing integrations: Upon quiz completion and email submission, the collected data — including quiz responses, result category, and contact information — is automatically forwarded to connected email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, etc.) for segmented follow-up campaigns.
• Analytics: Tracks quiz start rates, completion rates, drop-off points, and lead capture conversion rates, reporting these metrics to the Interact dashboard.

Consent & Compliance

Interact falls under the marketing consent category. The entire quiz funnel — from engagement through data capture to marketing platform integration — serves lead generation and marketing segmentation purposes.

Under GDPR and ePrivacy, Interact's scripts require explicit opt-in consent before loading. The cookies set for tracking and attribution are non-essential. The personal data collected (email, quiz responses) constitutes processing under GDPR, and forwarding this data to third-party marketing platforms requires transparency about recipients and purposes.

Should You Block This Without Consent?

Yes. Interact scripts collect personal data for marketing lead generation and forward it to third-party marketing platforms. Block the Interact embed script until the user grants marketing consent. Without the script loaded, the quiz simply does not appear on the page.
